On 7th July a legend was born in Ranchi, a person who is a captain, leader, and a legend. Let's take a look at some of his most memorable achievements.

In world Cricket 7th July is now a significant day because it is the day when one of the most successful captains Mahendra Singh Dhoni was born. At the end of his career before the world cup 2019, he was struggling with his form, but when the Indian team needed him in that semi-final match he stood up with Ravindra Jadeja and took India to a stage from where they could win the match but when dhoni got run out it was all over.

Dhoni has more than 17,000 runs in all three formats, according to his batting record. Dhoni was most productive in the limited-overs game, and he was the number one ODI batsman for a long period. His highest ODI score is 183, which makes him a fascinating piece of information. Only three players have ever scored 183 runs in a one-day international inning. All three players were from India, and their best ODI score was 183. Sourav Ganguly (against Sri Lanka in 1999), MS Dhoni (against Sri Lanka in 2005), and Virat Kohli were the three guys (Against Pakistan in 2012). All three guys went on to captain India with excellent success, and we can confidently predict that if any young Indian player can achieve another 183 runs, he will be a successful Indian captain.

Another noteworthy statistic concerns Dhoni's performance in ICC competitions. With the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ICC World Cup, and 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, MS Dhoni guided India to three ICC trophy victories. India became the first and only team to win the 60-over World Cup in 1983, the 50-over World Cup in 2011, and the 20-over World Cup in 2011. (2007). No other side has accomplished this, and only the West Indies can do it if they win the 50-over World Cup, which is unlikely anytime soon.

Sourav Ganguly once referred to MS Dhoni as a gambler, and Dhoni has proven him right. In the last over of the 2007 World Cup, he chose Joginder Sharma's part-time bowling to deliver the final over to Misbah-ul-Haq, which gave India the victory. He was elevated to counter the danger of Muttiah Muralitharan in the 2011 World Cup final, which was a crucial decision that proved decisive. Even in the 2013 Champions Trophy final, his choice to keep Ishant Sharma was unpopular, but it ultimately yielded the greatest outcome for India.

In the end, in my personal opinion, I want to say that his records might not be good a batsman because of him batting in the lower order at number- 5,6 or 7, but his records as a captain for both The Indian Team and the Captian of Chennai Super Kings, he has been brilliant.
